Merkez Deniz Acenteligi ve Ticaret A.S., one of oldest shipping agencies in Turkey, with a succesful background and experience of over a century. Merkez Deniz is operational at all Turkish Ports, including the straits of Dardanelles and Bosphorus.
The original company was established by one of the few pioneers of the sector / shipping industry in Istanbul during the Ottoman reign, at the end of the 19th century, as a foreign company. In 1975 it was transformed into a Turkish company under our present name “Merkez Deniz Acenteliği ve Ticaret A.S”
In 2008 Merkez Deniz completed a merger with the port agency department of ITS International Travel Services, forming the largest cruise agency portfolio in Turkey. The vast experience of both the aforementioned companies, which were focused on Cruise Ship handling for many decades; are now at service of Cruise Lines with a well earned reputation.
Merkez Deniz is attending tankers of all types and bulk carriers at all Turkish Ports, including Dardanelles and Bosphorus straits. In our long background, we have served many prominent companies of the industry at Turkish ports and are proudly doing so currently , for several owners, operators & managers including V SHIPS LEISURE SAM , MARFIN MANAGEMENT SAM, BPS, CORY HUB SERVICES, ANBROS MARITIME SA.
In addition, we may proudly say that we are currently attending as port agents for PCL, P & O, HAL, WINDSTAR CRUISES; PRESTIGES CRUISE HOLDINGS LINES, WORLD CRUISE AGENCIES, SILVER SEA CRUISES, ALL LEISURE GROUP PLC. (Swan Hellenic), TRANSCOMA BALEARES SA & V- SHIPS at Turkish Ports.
MERKEZ DENIZ has also handled the first GRAND CLASS ship turn around in the MED in 1998 in İstanbul; which was followed by major crise lines extensively upto 9/11/2001. We are still handling T/A operations in İstanbul for WINDSTAR CRUISES, OCEANIA CUISES, REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES & SEADREAM YACHT CLUB .
MERKEZ DENIZ has recently joined MGAA (Mediterranian Gateway Agency Association; mgaa-superyachts.com) to team up with two others distinctive agents in the MED in an endeavour to extend its services to super yacths at Turkish ports and straits.
